I have been a wrestling fan since I was able to walk and have followed it all—from the old school hard-nosed, cauliflower ear days to the 80’s steroid scandals to the current larger than life status of “wrestling entertainment”. From the local indie scenes throughout America to the big boys like WWE, NWA, the defunct AWA and WCW, and the poorly revised ECW (give me a break; it’s not ECW— it’s the letters ECW with a few of the old ECW wrestlers with WWE literally stamped all over it). This is a tough one guys. Some of you will understand this, some of you won’t. Yesterday evening my friend, VexarDave, texted me with a single line message. “Swayze passed.” I had just got out of the shower and ran to the computer and furiously clicked the Internet Explorer icon. Yahoo comes up. Patrick Swayze dead at 57. My heart sank. My skin turned cold and I cried. Yeah I cried. (more…)

Man! It has been a busy few weeks! Booking shows on the Gulf Coast for my brothers in Mellow Down Easy, taking kids to the fair, and chasing down the hopeful new mayor of Memphis, Jerry “The King ” Lawler, for our interview. As if you did not know, the interview is up on the Vexar Entertainment Hour this week.
