Corey Haim was an actor of my generation. I first saw him in 1985s “Silver Bullet” which is of course the classic werewolf movie based on Stephen Kings book starring Haim and Gary Busey. Haim played a handicapped child trying to prove that a local preacher was a werewolf. Good stuff. (more…)
This is a tough one guys. Some of you will understand this, some of you won’t. Yesterday evening my friend, VexarDave, texted me with a single line message. “Swayze passed.” I had just got out of the shower and ran to the computer and furiously clicked the Internet Explorer icon. Not saying that he was not an entertaining singer and artist, but along with The Rolling Stones, I view Michael Jackson as one of the most overrated musicians of all time. Ohhhh…did I just upset anyone? If I did, well then I am most definitely, NOT SORRY.
Just like most of you I grew up listening to MJ. When my folks bought me my first Walkman, they purchased me two tapes with it, “Thriller” and “Purple Rain”. I liked “Purple Rain” more. (more…)
